Aspect Preview 16

Thanks to all the new testers, we have been able to identify and fix a lot of small issues in this release, as well as improving import performance. Apart from that, there are also some new features, most notably HEIF image format support on Windows.

The new HEIF/HEIC support on Windows requires the installation of the HEIF and HEVC extensions from the Microsoft Store. Once installed, photos shot with an iPhone or iPad can be viewed, including meta data. The macOS version already supports HEIF images natively.

In addition to that, there is also a new “recent imports” page that lists the history of all imported files. After a manual import, this view will now be opened, showing the files that have been imported in one place.

The search bar now supports filtering by focal length. Simply enter a number with a “mm” suffix to match a particular focal length. Like with other numeric meta data, it's also possible to search with less or greater conditions: 50mm >50mm, <=18mm
