Addressing Invitation Issues & Refining Core Functionality · Release Candidate 33
Library Invitation Enhancements
Previously, issues with library invitations could sometimes disappear behind the scenes. We’ve addressed this by displaying error messages directly within the UI when attempting to accept or deny a library invitation. This will give you a clearer understanding if an invitation is failing and why, helping you troubleshoot any potential problems.
In addition to displaying the error, a specific scenario, where invitations would immediately fail after a previous invitation dialog had been closed, is now handled correctly. Closing the dialog will now automatically cancel the invitation request.
Refining Core Functionality
Beyond collaboration, this update includes a number of fixes aimed at improving core functionality:
- Keyword Management: A bug impacting keyword entry cleanup when removing keywords has been fixed. Now, when you remove a keyword, images will always be removed from the corresponding keyword tree entry, regardless of whether other images are associated with that keyword.
- Metadata Writing: The “write metadata into file” functionality has been improved to reliably work with a wider range of JPEG files.
- Collection Pane Behavior: Several fixes target the Collection Pane, resolving visual selection issues during renaming and preventing the scroll position from resetting unexpectedly.
- Stability & Localization: We're committed to stability, and this update includes fixes for crashes encountered during library creation (particularly when using UNC path based network shares) and within the import dialog when using the new French translation.
Finally, numerous smaller translation mistakes have been fixed across all languages.
