New Welcome Dialog and Website Adjustments · Release Candidate 6

After some weeks of holidays and sickness related hiatus, with this final release candidate, we are performing some final adjustments to the welcome dialog, in order for it to work properly in the post-beta phase. It is now possible to choose between the free version, an Aspect Pro trial and loading an existing license.

At the same time, we've removed the download form from the website and instead integrated it as an optional part of the welcome dialog. This enables all users, no matter whether they downloaded from the website, or from some other source, to request a trial license for Aspect Pro, as well as registering to the newsletter (which will always stay focused on important news).

Trial licenses are valid for 120 days, so that it's possible to try out the Pro features for an adequate amount of time, even for someone who is only occasionally busy with organizing photos. After the trial expires, the application will simply fall back to the free version.

Other Notable Improvements

Apart from fixing a number of issues discovered in the previous release candidate, we've continued to improve performance, most notably during startup and shutdown of the application.
