Using Extensions
Extensions and snippets can be found in the Extensions and Snippets Forum Category. They provide ways to extend and customize the application with functionality that might be too specialized to include in the core application itself.
Installation of Snippets
- Copy the source code of the snippet into the clipboard
- Open the application settings (Aspect → Settings on macOS and File → Settings on other systems)
- Go to the Extensions → Snippets page
- Click Add Snippet…
- Paste the source code of the snippet into the “Source Code:” field
The new snippet can then be found in the File menu. You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to the snippet in the Shortcuts section of the application settings.
Installation of Extensions
Installation of extensions is currently a manual process. After downloading the extension, extract it and simply put the extracted folder into Aspect's extension folder. This can also be done while the application is running.
The extension folder can be found in the following locations:
- Windows:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Bildhuus\Aspect\extensions - macOS:
/Users/[username]/Library/Aspect/extensions - Linux:
~/.local/lib/aspect/extensions
After successful installation, the plugin can be found in the “Extensions” section of the settings dialog:
