Licensing

If you bought a license of Aspect Pro, or have registered for a beta license, you need to register the license file that you received via e-mail within the application in order to use the features exclusive to the Pro version. If you did not receive your license file, please reach out to us.

In order to use the license, first open the e-mail that you received at the time of the purchase and save the attached “aspect.lic” file to a folder where you can find it later.

Now there are three possibilities of how to activate the license within the application:

• When opening the application for the first time, a “Welcome to Aspect” dialog will appear. On the right side of this dialog, click on the "Browse for License" button and choose the file you saved earlier.
• On Windows and macOS, you can also use Explorer or Finder to open the folder in which you saved the license file and then simply double-click it.
• Finally, it is also always possbile to open the about dialog within the application using Help → About (Aspect → About on macOS) and use the Browse for License File... button there.

Once the license has been registered, your name and license status should be listed in the about dialog and the “Aspect” writing at the top of the application window should change from Aspect to AspectPro.
